Elect Democratic Women Endorses Marlene Galán-Woods for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Marlene Galán-Woods for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District.

“As a broadcast journalist, mom, and daughter of Cuban immigrants, Marlene has proven herself to be a voice of truth for her community who does not hesitate to stand up to extremists and fight for Arizonans. She has been an outspoken advocate for children, fighting corruption, and improving the lives of Arizona families. Elect Democratic Women is proud to support Marlene’s campaign and we are confident that she has what it takes to bring common sense leadership back to Arizona’s 1st Congressional District,” said EDW Chair, Rep. Lois Frankel.

“In this moment, we need leaders who will stand up to extremists, hold our elected officials accountable, and serve Arizona’s families with truth, integrity, and respect for the rule of law. I’ve spent my career telling the hard truth when necessary and fighting corruption in our government and I plan to do the same in Congress. It is an honor to have the endorsement of Elect Democratic Women and I look forward to working with them to flip this seat,” said Marlene Galán-Woods.
