EDW-endorsed women make up 15 of the 30 candidates on the Red to Blue list
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, proudly recognized the naming of two additional EDW-endorsed women to the DCCC’s competitive 2026 Red to Blue program – Pia Dandiya (FL-22) and Lindsay James (IA-02). The Red to Blue program spotlights top-tier Democratic challengers and provides them with the resources and strategic support needed to put them in the strongest position possible to win in November. Of the 30 candidates included on the Red to Blue list, half are EDW-endorsed women.
“The fifteen women who have been added to the Red to Blue list this cycle are candidates who know their districts, know their voters, and know exactly what it takes to win — and to govern,” said Liz Gallagher, Executive Director of Elect Democratic Women. “They’re outworking their opponents, standing up to Trump’s reckless agenda, and fighting to lower costs for hard-working families who’ve been left behind. The fifteen EDW-endorsed women named to the Red to Blue program are:
- JoAnna Mendoza – Arizona’s 6th Congressional District
- Marni von Wilpert – California’s 48th Congressional District
- Jessica Killin – Colorado’s 5th Congressional District
- Pia Dandiya – Florida’s 22nd Congressional District
- Christina Bohannan – Iowa’s 1st Congressional District
- Lindsay James – Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District
- Sarah Trone Garriott – Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District
- Denise Powell – Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District
- Rebecca Bennett – New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District
- Cait Conley – New York’s 17th Congressional District
- Paige Cognetti – Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District
- Janelle Stelson – Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District
- Shannon Taylor – Virginia’s 1st Congressional District
- Elaine Luria – Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District
- Rebecca Cooke – Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District
Each of these women is running in competitive districts across the country and has already demonstrated extraordinary grassroots strength, community support, and campaign organization.
