Elect Democratic Women Announces Six-Figure Investment in Support of Shannon Bird in CO-08

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress,  announced an independent expenditure investment in support of Shannon Bird in the CO-08 primary election. The $100,000 investment includes a slate of mail pieces highlighting that Shannon was ranked the most effective state lawmaker, took on insurance companies to lower health care costs and protect Medicaid, protected abortion rights, and made communities safer by getting dangerous weapons out of the hands of criminals.

“The path to taking back the House majority and stopping Trump’s dangerous agenda runs through flipping CO-08, and Shannon Bird has what it takes,” said Liz Gallagher, Executive Director of Elect Democratic Women. “From her work in public finance and law to co-founding an organization that empowers families and educators and serving Coloradans in the state legislature, Shannon has spent her career fighting for hardworking families. Elect Democratic Women is proud to support her campaign and help flip this seat.”
