WASHINGTON, DC – Today, House Democrats overwhelmingly voted to pass legislation extending Affordable Care Act subsidies that make health care more affordable for millions of Americans, while House Republicans overwhelmingly voted against it.
“At a time when families are struggling with rising costs, Democrats stood united to protect affordable health care,” said Elect Democratic Women Chair, Rep. Lois Frankel. “With overwhelming Democratic support, this bill continues our fight to lower premiums, expand coverage, and make sure no one has to choose between seeing a doctor and paying their rent.”
“Once again, the contrast is clear,” Frankel added. “Democrats are delivering solutions that put patients and families first, and Elect Democratic Women will keep working to elect leaders who get results.”
