WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW)– the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress– announced its endorsement of Adelita Grijalva for Arizona’s 7th Congressional District.
“Adelita Grijalva has spent her career fighting for children and families—working to expand access to quality education, lower everyday costs, and strengthen her community. From increasing preschool access to investing in public schools and affordable housing, she has been a relentless advocate for opportunity and equity. Adelita is exactly the kind of leader Arizona needs in Congress, and Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse her as she works to carry forward her father’s legacy of service,” said Rep. Lois Frankel, Chair of EDW.
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of Elect Democratic Women in my campaign for Congress,” said Adelita Grijalva. “I have dedicated my career to fighting for Arizona’s families– expanding access to public education, protecting reproductive rights, and working to make housing and healthcare more affordable. I’m ready to bring this advocacy to Congress and to work alongside the women of EDW to serve every Arizonan.”

Elect Democratic Women was formed in 2018 by Democratic members of Congress with the purpose of electing more pro-choice Democratic women to Congress and higher office, based on the understanding that democracy is best served by a Congress that reflects the people they represent.
