WASHINGTON, DC –Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the only Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing more Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Christina Bohannan for Iowa’s 1st Congressional District.
“Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Christina Bohannan in her race for Iowa’s First Congressional District. A law professor, former engineer, and mom, Christina knows the value of hard work,” said Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL), Chair of Elect Democratic Women. “As a state Representative, Christina was a staunch advocate for women and families, fighting for reproductive freedom and affordable health care. Christina’s unmatched work ethic will make her a powerful and effective leader in Congress.”
“I am honored and humbled to be endorsed by Elect Democratic Women. I stand with their mission to uplift women and families and to fight for reproductive freedom,” said Christina Bohannan. “Iowa’s First Congressional District needs a representative who will fight for better educational opportunities, increase access to quality health care, and protect a woman’s right to choose. I have proven my dedication to fighting for hard-working Iowans and plan to continue that work in Congress.”
