Elect Democratic Women Endorses JoAnna Mendoza for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of JoAnna Mendoza for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District

“JoAnna Mendoza is a battle-tested leader who has dedicated her life to service—from two decades in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to her advocacy for working families in Arizona. As the daughter of immigrants, a single mother, and someone who grew up in rural Arizona, JoAnna understands the challenges her community faces because she’s lived them. Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse JoAnna Mendoza, and we are confident she will be a tireless champion for Arizonans in Congress,” said Rep. Lois Frankel, Chair of Elect Democratic Women.

“As a retired Marine, a mom, and a public servant, I’ve spent my whole life stepping up when it mattered most. I know what it means to fight for what you believe in, on the battlefield and right here at home. That’s why I’m proud to have the support of Elect Democratic Women,” said JoAnna Mendoza. “Together, we’re building a Congress that reflects the strength, resilience, and lived experience of the women it represents, and we’re not backing down when it comes to protecting our rights, our families, or our future.”
