WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Leela Gray for Florida’s 13th Congressional District.
“Leela Gray spent 30 years in uniform leading soldiers overseas, serving our country, and advising the United States Army Cyber Command — that’s the kind of leadership and commitment Pinellas County deserves in a Representative,” said Liz Gallagher, Executive Director of Elect Democratic Women. “She grew up watching her parents fight to keep a small business afloat and put herself through college. She’s never forgotten what hard-working families need to get ahead and in Congress she will champion lower costs, access to health care, and the protection of the beaches and waterways that are essential to Florida’s economic future. Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Leela for Congress.”
“As a Brigadier General, I learned that leadership means showing up, listening, and getting the job done — that’s exactly what I’ll bring to Congress,” said Leela Gray. “I’m grateful for the support of Elect Democratic Women, and I’m ready to earn the trust of every family across Pinellas and Pasco counties by fighting for the opportunities they’ve worked so hard to build.”
