WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Lucia Baez-Geller for Florida’s 27th Congressional District.
“As a teacher and Miami-Dade School Board Member, Lucia has worked tirelessly to improve public schools, ensuring that they remain places where all students are respected and supported. We are confident that she will continue her advocacy in Congress to uplift all women and families and protect reproductive freedom. Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Lucia’s candidacy,” said Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL), Chair of Elect Democratic Women.
“As the daughter of Cuban and Colombian immigrants, it has been an honor to give back to the community in which I was raised. In Congress, I will continue to fight for South Florida to ensure that the needs of our families are the top priority, that we protect women’s reproductive rights, and that the next generation has the resources they need to thrive. I look forward to serving with the Members of Elect Democratic Women and am honored to have their endorsement,” said Lucia Baez-Geller.
