Elect Democratic Women Endorses Madison Horn for Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Madison Horn for Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District.

“Growing up on her family’s farm in rural Oklahoma, Madison learned what it takes for families in Oklahoma to make ends meet. As a cybersecurity official, Madison has risen to the top ranks in an industry where only 7% of women hold leadership positions. EDW is confident that Madison will bring her tenacity and expertise to Congress to fight for lower costs for families, reproductive freedoms, and policies that uplift all women. Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse her candidacy for Oklahoma’s 5th District,” said Rep. Lois Frankel.

“I am honored to receive the support of Elect Democratic Women in my campaign to serve Oklahoma’s 5th District,” said Madison Horn. “It’s time for families in Oklahoma to be represented by someone who will act with courage, take a stand, and reach across the aisle to find working solutions. When elected, I will become the most credentialed cybersecurity lawmaker in U.S. Congressional history, bringing a national spotlight and a grave responsibility to build bridges and restore a functioning Congress that is equipped to solve the problems of today and uplift Oklahoma.”

Elect Democratic Women was formed in 2018 by Democratic members of Congress with the purpose of electing more pro-choice Democratic women to Congress and higher office, based on the understanding that democracy is best served by a diverse Congress that reflects the people they represent.

The Executive Board is made up of six sitting members of Congress: Chair Lois Frankel, Rep. Joyce Beatty, Rep. Julia Brownley, Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, Rep. Annie Kuster, and Rep. Norma Torres.
