WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Nellie Pou for New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District.
“During her time representing the people of New Jersey in city and state government, Nellie has shown her dedication to expanding access to affordable healthcare, protecting women’s reproductive freedom, and helping working families make ends meet. Elect Democratic Women is pleased to endorse Nellie and support her campaign so that she can hold this Democratic seat and continue fighting for New Jersey’s families in Congress,” said Rep. Lois Frankel.
“I am honored to receive the support of Elect Democratic Women in my campaign to represent New Jersey’s 9th District. With their support, I will go to Congress to carry on Rep. Bill Pascrell’s legacy of ensuring that the people of New Jersey receive the representation they deserve,” said Nellie Pou. “I look forward to working with EDW in my campaign and serving alongside their Members in Congress.”

The Executive Board is made up of six sitting members of Congress: Chair Lois Frankel, Rep. Joyce Beatty, Rep. Julia Brownley, Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, Rep. Annie Kuster, and Rep. Norma Torres.
