WASHINGTON, DC – Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, today announced its endorsement of Paige Cognetti for Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District.
“Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Paige Cognetti for Congress. Paige has built her career on accountability, transparency, and results. From serving on the School Board to leading as Mayor of Scranton, she has taken on corruption and special interests while delivering real solutions for working families—lowering costs, expanding affordable housing, and supporting small businesses. Paige has proven that she knows how to make government work for the people it serves, and we are confident she will bring that same effective leadership to Washington,” said Rep. Lois Frankel, Chair of Elect Democratic Women.
“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of Elect Democratic Women. As the first woman elected Mayor of Scranton, we have built a city government that works, and works for everyone,” said Mayor Paige Cognetti. “In Congress, I look forward to working alongside the women of EDW to lower costs, increase transparency, and provide our communities a federal government that works as hard as the people we serve.”
