WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing more pro-choice Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Rebecca Cooke for Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District.
“As a former small business owner and nonprofit leader who grew up in rural Wisconsin, Rebecca understands what it takes for families to make ends meet,” said Rep. Lois Frankel, Chair of Elect Democratic Women. “Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Rebecca in her campaign for Wisconsin’s 3rd District and is confident that she will be a champion for protecting reproductive rights and creating an economy that benefits working families.”
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of EDW in my campaign for Congress,” said Rebecca Cooke. “In the past, I’ve relied on organizations like Planned Parenthood for annual exams. In 2021, my mom had a heart attack and relied on Medicare to help her heal. Growing up in a union family, I’ve seen what it takes for families in Wisconsin to make ends meet. In Congress, I look forward to working with EDW to protect reproductive freedom and prioritize policies that uplift women and hardworking families.”
