WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Sarah McBride for Delaware’s At-Large Congressional District.
“Growing up in Delaware, Sarah McBride has spent her life advocating for her community,” said Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL), Chair of Elect Democratic Women. “Sarah has been a champion for increased access to healthcare, protecting reproductive rights, and expanding access to paid family and medical leave for families across Delaware. Elect Democratic Women is pleased to endorse Sarah’s historic campaign and is confident that she will continue her work serving Delaware’s women and families in Congress.”
“From working at the White House to serving in the state Senate, it has been an honor to dedicate my career to the people of Delaware. Advocating for my community and making Delaware a place where everyone can thrive has been my motivation from day one. It’s why I introduced and passed paid family and medical leave in the First State and it is why I am running for Congress. I am proud to receive the endorsement of Elect Democratic Women and am looking forward to serving alongside them to protect women’s reproductive freedoms, and fight for policies that support all women and families,” said Sarah McBride.
