Elect Democratic Women Endorses Sue Altman for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the only Congressional Member-led committee dedicated solely to electing pro-choice Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Sue Altman for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.

“With her experience as a teacher and high school basketball coach, Sue Altman knows the value of public education and fair wages. She has advocated for fair funding for every public school student, fought for teachers to be paid what they’re worth, and championed raising New Jersey’s minimum wage,” said Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL), Chair of Elect Democratic Women. “Sue has the tenacity it takes to get things done in Congress and we are confident she will continue to fight for women’s reproductive freedom and for policies that uplift women and families. Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Sue’s candidacy.”

“I am proud to call New Jersey home and have dedicated my entire career to bettering the lives of my community. As the Executive Director of the New Jersey Working Families Alliance, I have had an unwavering commitment to fighting political corruption on both sides of the aisle, battling against the misuse of taxpayer dollars, and striving to make my district a better place for all. When elected, I will take that same commitment to Congress to fight for New Jersey’s women and families and am honored to have Elect Democratic Women’s endorsement in my campaign,” said Sue Altman.
