WASHINGTON, DC –– With less than one week until Election Day, Elect Democratic Women, the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced a final $150k Independent Expenditure investment from their sister PAC, Pro-Choice Women, to add to their existing buy in Rep. Marcy Kaptur’s seat (OH-09), capping off a record-breaking election cycle for the PAC.
Elect Democratic Women has raised a record-breaking $14.4M this cycle, substantially outraising all previous cycles since the PAC was founded in 2018. The PAC also invested more money in electing women up and down the ballot than it ever has and expanded its programming to include a robust Independent Expenditure program.
This cycle, Elect Democratic Women endorsed 67 women, 56 of whom are on the general election ballot in 5 days at the Presidential, Senate, and House levels. To ensure that VP Harris is elected and that she has House and Senate majorities to govern with, EDW contributed $200k to the Harris Victory Fund, maxed out to every Frontline Member and Red to Blue candidate, supported 11 women running in the most competitive House seats with their Independent Expenditure efforts, and bundled over $1M through a joint fundraising committee with 16 Members and candidates.
