WASHINGTON, DC –– Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW) announced an Independent Expenditure from their sister PAC Pro-Choice Women in MI-08, Congressman Dan Kildee’s open seat, where EDW has endorsed Kristen McDonald Rivet. The group is investing $250,000 in an ad that will run on cable TV from today until election day.
This investment comes after EDW announced over $1.7M in digital investments from Pro-Choice Women and Elect Democratic Women across targeted districts including CO-08, IA-01, OH-13, WA-03, and WI-03.
The ad run by Pro-Choice Women’s Independent Expenditure arm, “No One Knows,” will highlight Paul Junge’s extreme stance on abortion, noting that he says he is “pro-life at all times” and that he would allow politicians to ban abortions with no exceptions.
“To pass meaningful policies that will protect women’s reproductive rights, lower everyday costs for families, and continue the good work that Congressman Kildee has done for Michigan and the nation, it is crucial that we elect Kristen McDonald Rivet to Congress. As a state senator, Kristen has been a champion for women and their families in her work advocating for quality education and lower costs for Michiganders,” said Elect Democratic Women Chair, Rep. Lois Frankel.
Script: No One Knows
[Dr. Aisha Harris] No one knows how a pregnancy will progress. We want them to be smooth and safe but sometimes there are complications and an abortion might be the only way to save a mother’s life.
Paul Junge says he is pro-life at all times and he will allow politicians to ban abortions with no exceptions.
Might think that they don’t know what the consequences are and I think they also just don’t care.
Michigan already voted to protect abortion rights. If Paul Junge doesn’t want to listen to us, this is not the job for him.
