Elect Democratic Women’s Statement on the Presidential Race

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel, Chair of Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing more pro-choice Democratic women to Congress issued the following statement:

“President Joe Biden has served and continues to serve our country with honor, integrity, and an unparalleled commitment to our nation. Elect Democratic Women thanks him for standing up for reproductive freedom, democracy, and economic security for all Americans—he is a true patriot and one of the most consequential presidents in our nation’s history,” said Elect Democratic Board Chair, Rep. Lois Frankel.

“The stakes could not be higher this November. Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse VP Kamala Harris for President of the United States. Vice President Harris will continue to fight to restore reproductive freedom, lower costs for hard-working Americans, and uplift policies that prioritize our families. Elect Democratic Women has her back and is all in to elect the first woman President.” 

So far this cycle, EDW has made 45 active endorsements, including 16 incumbent Members in the most competitive House districts, 28 candidates running for Congress and higher office, and VP Kamala Harris for President. EDW has also made $1.29M worth of early investments including contributions to Members, candidates, the DCCC, and the Presidential campaign.
