Elect Democratic Women Endorses Julie Johnson for Texas’ 32nd Congressional District

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Julie Johnson for Texas’ 32nd Congressional District.

“Throughout her career, Julie Johnson has been a staunch advocate for women and families. Julie defended workers and fought for equality for female athletes. She has been a leader on expanding affordable healthcare and protecting women’s reproductive rights. Julie is exactly the kind of leader we need in Congress and Elect Democratic Women is honored to endorse her campaign to represent Texas’ 32nd Congressional District,” said Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL), Chair of Elect Democratic Women.

“From being an attorney to serving in the Texas House of Representatives, I have dedicated my career to making our community one in which all families can thrive. I have fought on the frontlines for reproductive rights, championed expanded access to affordable healthcare, advocated for gun safety legislation, and created opportunities for working families to prosper. I will bring that same tenacity to Congress and will never stop fighting for Texans. It is an honor to earn the endorsement of Elect Democratic Women and I am looking forward to serving alongside them in Congress,” said Julie Johnson.
