Elect Democratic Women’s Sister PAC Pro-Choice Women Announces Independent Expenditure Investments in WA-03, IA-01, and WI-03

WASHINGTON, DC –– Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW) announced a slate of  Independent Expenditures from their sister PAC, Pro-Choice Women. The total investment will be $975k in digital ads across the following three districts:

  • WA-03- EDW Frontline Member, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
  • IA-01- EDW-endorsed candidate, Christina Bohannan
  • WI-03 –  EDW-endorsed candidate, Rebecca Cooke

This slate of investments comes after EDW announced a six-figure investment in OH-13 and a six-figure investment from Pro-Choice Women in CO-08 earlier this fall.

The digital ads focus on Republicans’ extreme positions on abortion including Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks’ (IA-01) support of a bill that would ban all abortions everywhere, Rep. Derrick Van Orden’s (WI-03) opposition to all abortions without exceptions, and Joe Kent’s (WA-03) support for a national abortion ban.

“Restoring Roe v. Wade, protecting women’s reproductive rights, and lowering costs for hardworking families hinges on Democrats’ ability to protect Members like Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and elect strong leaders like Christina Bohannan and Rebecca Cooke,” said Elect Democratic Women Chair, Rep. Lois Frankel. “Marie, Christina, and Rebecca have been steadfast champions of women and their families and are running winning campaigns. We can not afford to have a government controlled by extremists who don’t put our families first. Elect Democratic Women is proud to support these candidates and looks forward to electing them in November.”
